Today Roger came to Portland and took me to the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum. He let me use his 5D and the 17-40mm f/4L while he used his 5DII and his 24-70mm f/2.8L. The 5D is freaking amazing. The viewfinder is huge and the dynamic range seems to be a lot more than my D50 (definitely noticeable). Not having to hesitate to use ISO 1600 is wonderfully awesome. I’ll write more of what we did in the 5D post (which is not for another 1-3 days).
