Yet Another Meet Up with Sam

Window Refraction by David Chu on Zooomr
Above: This was taken at the beginning of the meet. Sam was taking out his gear and I took some pictures while he waited. I have a shot of this on film, too.
Today was fun. I met up with Sam at around 1:30 and we wandered around taking pictures. In the beginning I shot mostly film, as did he. Then I shot both about equally, then mostly digital. It was cold at some parts, especially when we were walking up this one street. I couldn’t even hear myself talk because of the wind. We went into Dunkin Donuts before that, to get a drink and to warm up a bit. Then we wandered around again.

Above: Sam asked this person (well, there were about three people there) if we could take pictures. The guy in the photo said okay, but only if his face wasn’t in the picture.

Above: Didn’t come out that well, but I gave the guy a card so he can find this photo. If he contacts me, I’m willing to re-shoot next week, Saturday, weather permitting.

Two Floors Up

Haven’t used the 35-70mm and gotten a keeper yet. I’ll be using my kit lens (18-55) tomorrow. I guess I’ll use the 35-70 on Friday.
Doubling Point and Pemaquid Point with Jason

Withering Away Over Time by David Chu on Zooomr
Today I had a snow day. So no school. Jason took me to two lighthouses… Doubling Point and Pemaquid Point. I didn’t like Doubling too much, but Pemaquid was fun (although it was cold and windy). The above shot is my favorite from today, and possibly all-time. It took a long time to get to both lighthouses and back to my home. I left at 2 PM and came back at around 7:30 PM. Oddly enough, I didn’t take as many pictures as I usually would have. When I got home, a package was waiting for me. Yay, a new lens. I didn’t have time to test it today, so I guess I will tomorrow at school. It’s a 35-70mm f/3.3-4.5 AF. More on that tomorrow.
